Martha's Restaurant and The Strand

Today was a wonderful day to get out and get going. I had a wonderful brunch with my cousins at Martha's restaurant. I highly suggest it as a place to eat wonderful food. It is a local trendy spot with good atmosphere and lines, so plan on a 20 minute wait on the week-ends. It is on the corner of Hermosa Ave and 22nd Street in Hermosa Beach and just 20 yards from The Strand. So if you eat outside as we did, you will be able to enjoy a wonderful beach view.

Also, the USA Collegiate Beach Volleyball Tournament is now in full swing, so its a lot of highly skilled women out at The Pier playing some amazing matches.

Around Town in Hermosa Beach

Day one of our new Hermosa & Hermosa Oasis Blog. I have to say I am glad to be in Hermosa today. The beach is amazing and the people are everywhere. It is like summertime and we have to enjoy it.

There is wonderful event taking place this week-end.

2013 Beach Colgate Challenge
When: April 20-21, 2013
Where: North Side of the Pier in Hermosa Beach in front of the Beach House Hotel

Teams: Pepperdine, Southern California (USC), CSU Long Beach, Hawaii, Loyola Marymount, UCLA, Santa Clara and CSU Bakersfield

Matches will take place Saturday and Sunday from 9am until the last match finishes. Last matches for both days are scheduled at 3:30 on Saurday and 3:15 on Sunday.
