Hermosa Garden Club Fund Raising Event
5/18 8am-1pm
The Hermosa Beach Garden Club holds it's annual fund raising event; a plant sale at the Clark Building in Hermosa Beach. This event features sale of indoor and outdoor plants, white elephant items, crafts and jewelery, and baked goods. The sale also includes a popular raffle with all prizes donated by area merchants. All members are expected to contribute in some way to this annual fund raising event. All proceeds from this sale are contributed to various environmental, conservation, and educational non-profit organizations in California.

The Hermosa Fair
It is the largest fare in North America. I thought it was the largest in Southern CA, but it has grown. There are so many things to do and see at the fair. The event is free, no admission,.
There will be bands all week-end long. A beer garden that is for Hermosa local charities as well as numerous vendors. My kids favorite is the carnival game and ride area. They even have ponies to ride and a prtting zoo.
The event takes place on Memorial Day as well as Labor day. The crowds are large, but worth it!
Also, there is a very close parking available to the public for this event. The lot is off of Highland and 19th St. St Cross, the local church there supports the youth group though donations made by parking in their lot. The lot is open all week-end and Monday from 9-5pm, except on Sunday morning till noon. There is almost always space. I have seen the need to drive around the block by a person waiting on a spot, but they open up quick as the church has many parking spaces.

Let Your Dog Run On The Beach.
Not every beach in the area allows this, but you will be able to do it at Rosie’s Dog Beach. Rosie's is located at 5000 East Ocean Blvd., in the Belmont Shore neighborhood of Long Beach. Among the rules, only one dog per adult. If you have two dogs, make sure to take a friend or family member along. If my dog could write this blog to you she would give it paws up! So get out with your pet and have a great time this week-end.
